This is a 3rd generation EVOlaser design that is similar to the Italian-made "gold standard" Eltech K-Laser™ and provides many of the same higher-end features but at a lower price. The EVOlaser packs a large 7.2-inch graphic touchscreen into a small overall package so it provides a great compromise between portability and ease of programming when compared to other class-4 systems with tiny or non-graphic displays. This system weighs in about 7 pounds and it has a handle on the top so it is very portable. The internal battery will drive the laser for about 40 minutes, so it is perfect for a multi-office professionals, who want to quickly move the laser between patients in different room. It is also much more compact than most of the bulky housings (bricks) of other clunky class-4 systems.

One of the secrets of the laser industry is the effect of duty-cycle (on/off ratio) on the dosage delivery. Many systems like the LiteForce® use a fixed 50% duty cycle.
